Our Story Starts The Day We Learn To Live

Help me out of these four walls,
Let me escape from within these halls,
For I have only one thing left to attain,
I will wait for you in sunshine and rain.

I've never been quite so sure,
And never felt so demure,
But for you I will always be me,
As you will shortly see.

Rain can't stop footprints on the ground,
As our hearts begin to pound,
For one plus one is no longer two,
When you found me and I found you.

The rhythmic sound of time passing goes on,
And this living hell will be gone,
So pull up a chair, listen in,
Because it is time to begin.

Our story starts the day we learn to live,
And this is all I have to give,
I'll try to help you through it all,
Even as my tears do fall.

Sea waves lap down my face,
Searching for a better place,
Trying to find someone to wipe them away,
Will you be the one to save the day?

I know I may seem like no one great,
But please just tell me that straight,
Don't mess me about like other guys,
Please don't tell me any silly lies.

I cannot tell you my secret yet,
But do not worry I won't forget,
For this is something you must know,
Before feelings begin to grow.

It's down to what happens in this last scene,
You should know exactly what I mean,
The light begins to dim in this town,
And yet we will still be around...
