One, Two And Then Three

One, two and then three,
It's meant to be you and me,
Don't let this pass you by,
Please never give my your goodbye.

Today, tomorrow and always,
Stay around a few more days,
As I am not ready to turn around,
My past isn't ready to be found.

Muttering, chatting as you leave,
The sound keeps feelings at ease,
For no one realises this prolonged pain,
Not even whilst sat in the evening rain.

Pounding, fighting and dying inside,
There's no where left I can hide,
Too lost upon the growing decay,
Why choose this game to play?

Broken, mending and broken again,
It's driving my heart insane,
Nothing works better than needles and thread,
And resting safely in your bed.

Fixing, falling and gaining new hope,
Because sometimes this is how we cope,
Life pulls us back up from the lows,
Where this goes no one knows.

Forever lost, never found and forgotten,
This feeling isn't soft like cotten,
Nor rough like sand,
But strange like this very land.

Spoken, whispered and yelled aloud,
My head is safely in a cloud,
Staying far away from where we stand,
One day you will understand.

Feirce, frightened and hiding away,
There is nothing left I can say,
No words of wisdom to give out,
It's you I don't want to be without.

One, two and then three,
We will have to wait and see,
This could be perfection in the making,
My heart is ready for the taking.
