When you can no longer hear my voice,
Will I still be your first choice?
I might not be here every day,
Unless you ask for me to stay.
Staying is my perfection,
As long as there is no rejection,
One question is all it takes,
There is no time for silly mistakes.
Ready or not here comes the life we long for,
The future here to explore,
Days of emotions to wash over my mind,
Leaving plenty of things far behind.
Before you know it time will tell,
And we'll know who has fell,
Fall from above or to below,
No one knows where this will go.
One step, two steps, no body knows,
We can hope this feeling grows,
Reaching up towards the sky,
This feeling grows far and wide.
Trust me maybe to hold your heart,
I promise not to make it fall apart,
For I'm not looking for some little fling,
I'm looking for someone to help me sing.
Changes happen unnoticed sometimes,
Just as easily as little ryhmes,
A quickening pace to the end,
As broken bones seem to mend.
Put away the guns you hold,
Stop acting like your heart is cold,
For this is you and me right now,
And these broken feelings I won't allow.

Summer Days
Breathing in the summer air,
This feeling is so very rare,
Bumble bees and summer flowers,
Every so often the rain showers.
Children running round the streets,
Building tents out of sheets,
Begging for another icecream,
Playing Hide-And-Go-Scream.
Summer sun dazzling us all,
Until the light begins to fall,
The sun sets into a deepening darkness,
We agree to disagree nevertheless.
The colours merge into one shade,
As the last of the light finally does fade,
Shadows grow as heads fall to beds,
Parents pack toys back in sheds.
Summer days seem long and hot,
We wish they would never stop,
But shortly autumn will set in,
And even more beauty will begin...

Reminiscing
Reminiscing about the past,
But the past doesn't last,
It doesn't take long to distance yourself,
Doing it will save your health.
Understand the factors behind this,
You too would reminisce,
Ponder over the foregone,
This is not the first and only one.
Decisions run around my mind,
Thoughts and feelings left behind,
For is this right or wrong,
Am I this weak or secretly strong?
The heart I own is rather inferior,
Whilst yours is so superior,
Regrets are there with imperfections,
Yet I have no objections.
Will the future prove our set out route,
Or become like old summer fruit,
Out of place in the winter day,
Please come and say you'll stay.
But the past doesn't last,
It doesn't take long to distance yourself,

The Letters I Didn't Send
It wasn't too long ago,
When every smile was for show,
It is okay as it's not as bad,
He was just one silly lad,
Thinking he could do as he pleased,
And now this pain has eased.
Those letters may have been for you,
There was not one letter but two.
You shouldn't have seen the words they held,
Holding feelings I have withheld,
Grasping at the strings left behind,
Seeing if there is anything left to find.
These memories do not help us to grow,
They don't help our love show,
Place your hand within mine,
Let our feelings begin to shine,
It won't be long before we smile,
As long as we're together for every mile.
Remember these things were past events,
And they build up in segments,
One by one they build a person,
And nothing has to worsen,
It can get better for us all,
Build it up but don't let me fall.
Please don't let me fall apart,
Don't rebreak my heart,
Pull together what he broke,
Climb through the thickening smoke.
Grow like the old oak tree,
One day we will see.
I know this wasn't as you planned,
I know that you don't understand,
This means quite a lot to me,
I'm sure that you will one day agree,
But at this moment it's all okay,
Lets hope this feeling is here to stay.
When every smile was for show,
It is okay as it's not as bad,

In The End
Once the end is here you will understand,
Your thoughts and theories will expand,
Seeing everything from a different view,
Is like fixing hearts with paper and glue.
Now is the wrong time to change everything,
Dance in the rain as people sing,
Sing songs with meaning to the minority,
Showing children a new kind of authority.
The streets are full of memorys they left,
A long with the growing theft,
Of mental and physical possessions,
But these demons don't do confessions.
'Would you like to come out to play,
The rain isn't here to stay,
It'll blow over soon enough...'
Children say feeling tough.
'It's not the time to go outside,
Time will soon collide,
Return to your home right away,'
The old man said everyday.
Time will hold us down to earth,
Help us realise what life is worth,
Moments grasping at what is remaining,
No time left for explaining.
It only takes a second to understand,
Your thoughts and theories will expand,
You haven't seen everything from my veiw,
I think we need more than paper and glue.

What You Did

And as the rain began to hit the windows,
How can pain settle in so fast,
Driving deep within my skin,
This is how you choose to sin,
Stealing from the unpicked fruit,
Being pulled up from every root.
I didn't choose this path, we know,
You still showed me the road though.
When the light shone down from above,
It was the end of the start of love,
Broken, ended nothing was remaining,
Except for the tears which are raining.
You should of realised the implications,
And you always exceed expectations,
I expected a pain but not disaster,
It made the ending faster...
The years have gone and past,
It hasn't gone slow or even fast,
This train of memories is up to speed,
And now there is nothing left to bleed.
It's the end of the beginning,
I won't admit the pain is winning,
For that is weakness in your eyes,
Only I can see past your pathetic lies...
